PASTORAL COUNCIL

MISSION STATEMENT

Through discernment, prayer, and guidance of the Holy Spirit, the Pastoral Council of Saint Mary of the Annunciation provides support and advice to the Pastor while empowering the development of the vigorous lay leadership and modeling a way of life characterized by Christ, the Servant King.

The purpose of the Pastoral Council is to engage the community of Saint Mary's in common reflection about the parish's mission and to plan and evaluate the parish mission in light of the Gospel and church teaching. The Pastoral Council is responsible for pastoral planning, defining parish goals, setting broad strategies to implement those goals, and evaluating the parish's success in carrying out the Church's mission.
