The heart of the Respect Life Ministry is to foster a respect for the dignity of human life from conception to natural death through education, prayer, and sponsored activities that support human life and family in accord with the teachings of the Church.
Some of the activities include a Holy Hour in January in remembrance of the Roe v. Wade decision, a rose sale on Mother’s Day weekend as a fund raiser for Aid for Women shelter, a Holy Hour and a “Baby Shower” supply drive during the month of October, which is Respect Life Month.
Mental Health Mondays
A monthly gathering…Starting May 20th from 7-8:30pm
Each year, 1 in 4 families are affected by mental illness. As Christians, we need to help and support individuals, family members and friends who have this illness. After last year’s five-night informational program, a number of those who attended expressed interest in an ongoing discussion group. To meet this need, our parish will be holding a meeting on the 3rd Monday of each month from 7:00 to 8:30pm.
A different aspect of mental illness will be discussed each month from a practical and spiritual standpoint. There is no cost to attend. Workbooks will be available to facilitate the discussion.
