Confirmation

The sacrament of Confirmation is the “seal” of God’s promise, the promise of God’s commitment to us; the one promise that is never broken. the sacrament marks us as God’s property, a people set apart. The sacrament of confirmation strengthens the baptismal conferral of the Holy Spirit on those confirmed in order to incorporate them more firmly in Christ. Our bond with the Church is strengthened and we are more closely associated with the Church’s mission as our gifts of the Holy Spirit increase within us. The newly confirmed are strengthened to bear witness to the Christian faith in word and deed, and marks the beginning of a journey toward deeper knowledge of God.
