Jesus said, “I am the good shepherd.” (John 10:14) Jesus, our Good Shepherd, leads us to reconciliation with God and others. The word reconciliation comes from a word that means “coming back together again.” There are times when we need to ask God to forgive us. We can do this in the Sacrament of Penance and Reconciliation. Receiving the Sacrament of Reconciliation for the first time is a very special celebration in your life. God is always ready to forgive us when we are sorry.
