The Domestic Violence Ministry is dedicated to raising awareness, understanding, and the prevention of domestic violence by educating our community and supporting the victims and survivors of emotional, financial, physical and sexual abuse with resources. The St. Mary of the Annunciation Domestic Violence Ministry Mission Statement is: “We are called by Christ to serve our community by raising awareness, working for the prevention of abuse and violence and by compassionately supporting victims with resources to find help.”

“To anyone who is living in the midst of domestic abuse, you need to know that we are ready to hear you, to be with you, guide your hands to open new doors of hope, find resources to restore your body, mind, and spirit to the balance and peace that the Lord wants you to have.”
—St. Mary Domestic Violence Ministry

Special Note During the Covid-19 Health Crisis

During the pandemic individuals have been asked to stay home creating an added concern from those trapped with an abusive partner. This strange new reality can bring with it the added horror of an uptick in abuse and a partner who may be purposefully misleading them to think help is no longer available. The reality is that the shelters are all operating as normal, highly aware of the importance of keeping services accessible.
