God is always seeking a deeper relationship with us. He wants to shower Hid Love on us. The main thing about expressing our faith is PRAYER. One way we can grow in surrendering ourselves to Jesus and receiving His love is by sharing our hearts with the Lord. The most important aspect of prayer is by revealing our hearts to Him,

God invites us into a relationship with Him that is both personal and communal. He speaks to us through His Son, Jesus Christ, the Word-made-flesh. Prayer is our response to God who is already speaking or, better yet, revealing Himself to us. Therefore, prayer is not merely an exchange of words, but it engages the whole person in a relationship with God the Father, through the Son, and in the Holy Spirit.

As members of St. Mary’s parish faith community, we can come together, united in prayer, by interceding for the peoples, groups, movements, and events of the parish. Prayer for the Renewal of Our Parish

Come Holy Spirit. We humbly ask You to pour out your all-powerful blessing upon St Mary of the Assumption. Let each of us know you more intimately. May we be set on fire with your love. Fill our hearts and inflame our souls. May we be inspired to live our lives to the fullest and be a community who strives to reflect who you are and who we need to become. May the people of St Mary of the Assumption partner with You to build your Kingdom on earth.

Father in heaven, all creation rightly gives you praise, for all life and all holiness come from you. In the plan of your wisdom she who bore the Christ in her womb was raised body and soul in glory to be with him in heaven.May we follow her example in reflecting your holiness and join in her hymn of endless love and praise. We ask this through Christ our Lord. Amen.

Prayer for the Sick

Father of goodness and love, hear our prayers for the sick members of our community and for all who are in need. Amid mental and physical suffering may they find consolation in your healing presence. Show your mercy as you close wounds, cure illness, make broken bodies whole and free downcast spirits. May these special people find lasting health and deliverance, and so join us in thanking you for all your gifts. We ask this through the Lord Jesus who healed those who believed.

Prayer For Others

Be mindful, O loving God, of all those who have asked us to pray for them. We place their needs and concerns into your hands trusting in your love and providence. May all who call upon you in need know that you always hear their prayers and that when we knock on your door you always answer. We pray in Jesus’ name, Amen.

Prayer for Our Deceased

Lord, our friend is gone now from this earthly dwelling, and has left behind those who mourn his/her absence. Grant that we may hold his/her memory dear, never bitter for what we have lost nor in regret for the past, but always in hope of the eternal Kingdom where you will bring us together again.
We ask this through Christ our Lord. Amen

Prayer for Our Deceased

Lord God, you are attentive to the voice of our pleading. Let us find in your Son comfort in our sadness, certainty in our doubt, and courage to live through this hour. Make our faith strong through Christ out Lord,
