The heart of the Respect Life Ministry is to foster a respect for the dignity of human life from conception to natural death through education, prayer, and sponsored activities that support human life and family in accord with the teachings of the Church.

Some of the activities include a Holy Hour in January in remembrance of the Roe v. Wade decision, a rose sale on Mother’s Day weekend as a fund raiser for Aid for Women shelter, a Holy Hour and a “Baby Shower” supply drive during the month of October, which is Respect Life Month.

October is Respect Life Month

Every October the Catholic Church in the United States celebrates Respect Life Month, and the first Sunday of October is observed as Respect Life Sunday. As Catholics, we are called to cherish, defend, and protect those who are most vulnerable, from the beginning to the end of their lives, and at every point in between. During the month of October, the Church asks us to reflect more deeply on the dignity of every human life. The theme for Respect Life Month 2023 is “Radical Solidarity”
