As St. Augustine said, “When one sings one prays twice.” Please consider praying twice at St. Mary! Interested singers are invited to join our vibrant Music Ministry. The parish currently has two choirs and two children’s choirs – details are listed below. There is no audition necessary, just a love to sing.

The St. Mary Parish Choir supports and amplifies the Assembly as a liturgical ensemble with an emphasis on a more blended repertoire. Interested singers high-school age and older are invited to join. This group is scheduled from September through the beginning of June.

The Shouts of Joy Ensemble (SOJE) praises God through song with a more contemporary style. SOJE is a liturgical ensemble embracing choral harmonies with piano, guitar, bass guitar and percussion. If you sing or play an instrument (not limited to those already listed) and you enjoy a more contemporary style of music, please join us. We welcome anyone from high school age and up.
The Shouts of Joy Ensemble sings twice a month at Mass and rehearses twice a month. SOJE also sings and supports the liturgy at Christmas, Holy Week, Easter and at services throughout the year.
This choir is managed and directed by Liz Knuth. If you are interested in joining us or looking for more information, stop by and see us after the 9:30 Mass on the 2nd Sunday of the month, after the 11:30 Mass on the 4th Sunday of the month, or contact the Parish Office.
Rehearsal Schedule for 2025:
(2) Mondays a month, 7:00-9:00pm and 1 hour before masses in the main church.
Mass Schedule: 2nd Sunday of the month at 9:30 mass and 4th Sunday of the month at 11:30 mass.
Cantors lead and support the sung prayer of the whole assembly. This special ministry requires skills with multiple liturgical music styles. We are blessed to have a very talented group of volunteers who take on this responsibility every week.
